Joana Cabral

My name is Joana Cabral and I attended Platanos College from 2016-2021! Throughout my time at Platanos I found that I took huge interest in all things revolving the PE department, it was often easy to find yourself there as the department as a whole felt like a second home. I felt genuinely cared for and believed in by all staff at the school and was very grateful for the bonds I had made. I left Platanos College with amazing grades, better than I ever thought I would get and I have all my great teachers to thank for it.

However, despite my “amazing” grades I went on and decided to go down the beauty path which I knew I was destined for, to which I attended London College of Beauty Therapy- located on oxford street. Here I completed a level2 and 3 Make up course, making me now a qualified Make Up Artist.

I also took interest in becoming a nail tech in November 2022 and I can proudly say I am a fully booked nail tech! I work for myself and know that I am doing better than I ever could have done for myself. I put my interests first and took a leap of faith and it’s paying off. None of this would have turned out as it would have if I didn’t attend Platanos College as I feel the “secondary school” experience is very much character building.
