Your impact as a volunteer could take many forms and would naturally be guided by your interests and areas of expertise.
Ways you could support our students through volunteer could include:
Telling your story to inspire and encourage pupils, addressing an assembly, support our extra-curricular activities clubs

Contributing to our Alumni Newsletter

Arranging for your business to offer work experience or internship to students

Give Back
When you choose to donate to Platanos Alumni you really do make a difference. You help pupils fulfil their potential, whatever life throws at them. Young people from Stockwell well be tackling pressing global problems in just a few years themselves, using their skills as leaders and team members.
As alumni, you have first-hand knowledge that the skills and experiences acquired through our extra-curricular activities stay with you forever. With your help, students can take part in clubs and activities that they would otherwise be unable to enjoy. Donations start from as little as £1 per month, and you will receive regular updates about how your investment is being spent on our young people. £5 per month could support our scholarship foundation, or you could consider a ‘one off’ contribution.

Scholarships or Bursaries for specific students

Educational trips to widen experience and enhance learning

Field trips for in-depth, hands-on experiences

Outdoor education and adventure activities

Facilitating additional sport and cultural participation

Theatre, Arts and Music activities

Additional up-to-date IT equipment to enhance skills
One-off payments also fund the followings:

£10 could buy 5 tubes of shuttlecocks for the Badminton Club

£50 could buy a set of boxing glovers for the Boxing Club

£250 could buy art equipment for the Art Club

£500 could buy a saxophone, a guitar, and a trumpet for the School Orchestra

£2,000 could help 50 pupils in Platanos Theatre Company to produce a musical
-
£5,000 could help 10 pupils in Platanos to gain Scholarships or Bursaries for specific subjects
